We were grocery shopping the other day and the store was out of romaine lettuce. We left the store and I told me husband I needed to stop at one more place to get some romaine. He reminded me I had bought iceberg lettuce. I told him that iceberg wasn't nutritious enough for the piggies and they needed romaine. He said "oh, iceberg is good enough for us though?" LOL! Isn't that true though? We eat the iceberg mixture while I feed the piggies the good stuff. I'm sure the piggies are much healthier than I am!

Just had to share!

Hehe. I have banned iceberg from this house. I won't even eat the stuff anymore.

That is so true? My pigs get kale, watercress, endive - stuff that we never used to eat! We too eat iceburg, yet the pigs get the expensive romaine

I won't eat it either anymore. Neither will my friend. But he has a bearded dragon, not a gp.

I don't like iceberg lettuce either. I prefer boston lettuce myself.

Huh ... whats funnier is that I have always eaten salads with a large mix of various greens. When the veggies are at thier most expensive in the winter time - I find myself sitting there, watching my piggies have there salad, and I am green with env, practically begging ... and do you think they would share !!! Not on thier lives ... hahahaha

lol. Iceburg lettuce doesn't really have any flavor anyway. Romanine has a different flavor and a little bit of a different texture to it. I think people like the crunchiness of the iceburg but I have followed my pigs advice- romane for all of us! :)
It just shows how dedicated you are to your piggies- they are lucky to have you as a parent. :)

I'm gratefull for the pigs - we've become so much more healthier now that our fridge is stuffed full of vegetables
