I have heard lots of different views of what a piggy can eat and what is can't. I feed my 2 pigs carrots, grass and I want to try them with other things. I have already tried them with bananas , one of them didnt seem to like it when the other one just slowly ate it. Im not sure what else to try with them.
any suggestions?

Becky, if you search the net on Guinea Pig nutrition and what they can eat. There is a lot of veggies that are good for them. I can't type in the list, as its too long. But they need more than just carrots and grass. Look at my site and click on the picture of my piggies at suppertime. There is celery, kale, romaine lettuce, carrots, watermelon, collards, red leaf lettuce, red & yellow & green peppers, spinach, etc. They definately get plenty of Vit-C. So I don't have to put Vit- C in their water. They also have free access to their pellets and continous access to timothy hay. And my Vet says they are healthy as pigs. I hope this helps.

There is a list on GuineaLynx that lists all kinds of veggies and fruits that are piggie friendly. Here is a link:

Fruit and Vegetable List

My girls like: carrots, lettuce, bananas, corn, apple, oranges, cilantro, blueberries, strawberries, green pepper, cucumber, zucchini, parsley, jicama, spinach, collard greens, mustard greens, watermelon, cantelope, and tomatos. I am always consulting my list to see what else they can try out.

Thanks
