OK so I don't know if this is normal or not but I have noticed that whenever my guinea pig Lizzie eats pellets she is constantly going from pellets to water, form pellets to water and I don't know why because numer one my other piggie Marie doesn't do this and numer two she only does it with pellets not hay or treats and obviously not veggies since they have water in them already. I don't know if the pellets are really that dry or is just and odd piggie? Or is she kinda dehydrated? she does drink quite a bit of water more than Marie. So I'm not really sure how much water one pig normally drinks.

I just think that the pellets in general are a bit dry, so the pigs like to follow a few bites with water. Both of my fosters do this, and two of my own pigs do it too. I've always just chalked it up to preference.

@SurfingPigs That's what I was hoping to hear. I was a bit concerned that she was dehydrated but it sounds like shes just a normal piggie.

One of mine drinks way more than the other one, but her repeated trips are from the hay to the water. As long as they're eating, pooping and peeing normally, I wouldn't worry about it. But if she starts losing weight (excessive drinking and weight loss are signs of diabetes), I'd get her to the vet.
