Hello every one,

I came home today and on my door step was a very small cage with two adorable, boy guinea pigs in it, they had very little food and were in pine shavings, there was a note from a lady, saying she is giving me her gps casue her children will not take care of them and she is tired of cleaning up after them. She had saw me outside the other day with my five guys in their pen eating grass. Well my neighbor said, they had only been there for a hour, they thought they were mine. I am actually suprised that no kids had taken them. So me having a big heart, I took them in, I went straight to the vet, and he checked them out and they are ok, I gave them a treatment of Ivermectin just in case. They are now in a store bought 3x3 with three levels, which I had bought when I adopted my first two guys.I will make them a cage soon, I am unsure what to name them so I just wanted to tell every what had happened and hopefully you guys can name them. Right now they are munching on cilantro, and my other guys and on the floor having some running time, before we retire for the night. I am guessing I will take threm in a keep them also, I can afford to take care of seven, and anough room to house all of these guys, but I am done, no more piggies. Hope no more shows up at my door, LOL.

This is the first boy, he is very shy, he has been hiding,

Here is the second boy, he is friendly, he is the leader of them two.

If you can help name them I would love it, my other guys are named, BUZZ, ROMEO, ABNER, OREO AND TOBY.

Well I like strange names, so the stranger the better, I am thinking Mexican when I see them, or maybe I am missing my husband. Please feel free to tell me they are cute and adorable, and maybe name them. Thanks all you guys, take care.

They are cute and adorable, lol. I'll name them...........Gavalk and Parth!!!!!! Heehee I mixed peoples first and last names that I know and lookie what I got!

They are the CUTEST!! But is it safe to give babies Ivermectin?

You know my spoiled piggies I dont know,

I am unsure, but if it wasnt safe then why would the vet give it to them, I have read alot of people do it to there piggies as a precautionary, but as much as I read it does not say anything about age limits. I guess I have to research it more. All my guys have had it done, except for my baby Oreo who is 3-4 months he was to traumatized when we took him to the vet, so he did not have it done.

But thanks they are cuties, I am considering names like Tico, and Gomez, something spanish unsure though. Still need to think about it.

They are cute and adorable!!!!! :D Seriously, they are both very cute. I like Tico. Or Chico. And Tony. But the woman who left them at your doorstep should be slapped - grown ups should KNOW that children under a certain age can't take care of ANY pet. She should have known it was her job to clean the cage. Kudos to you for adopting them. Do you want to keep them separate from the others? Them being male, it might be possible to add them to your boys. Good thing they're not female.

How anyone could not fall in love with them is beyond me. They are so adorable. Those piggies were so lucky because if the lady hadn't found you, who knows what would've happened to them. I usually go with what ever pops into my head when it comes to naming them. I'd go with your first choice. For some reason you felt those names were appropriate, right? Good luck and bless you for being there for those beautiful baby boys!

Oh my gosh Christy, good for you!

they are sooo cute! they look like little stuffed toys! I love their hair, it is so cute! congrats to you! you should name them (both boys right?) - Yoda and Smarties

Adoreable. Buttercup and caramel. Those are the 2 names that came to me first. Good Luck.

Lucky for the little ones the woman had the sense to drop them off by you instead of letting them loose or go knows what else.

They are very luck to end up in a home that will take care of them, love them and keep them safe.

Cute piggers! Names? Uh..Nico, Toseland(for short, Toto, Tolly, Toby etc.) or John Vito, Morty, Licorice, Bean, Kai.

You know, for some reason the brown/white crazy haried abby strikes me as a "George" -- who you could name "Jorge" to make it spanish.

The Tri-colour looks like a "Duke" or an "Oscar"

let us know what you name them!

They are SO lucky to have found thier way to you!

Those are two very lucky piggers.

I'm stuck on names. All of my animals get thier names from Japanese TV series. I stick to a series a species (except for the fish I had before. For some reason they tend to start the naming trends. I named my pigs using names from the same series in honour of my beta Yue. And the cats were named from the same series as Ranma the black moore gold fish.)

When I see them I think Touya and Yukito. (Dominant one Touya) But I've been watching too much Card Captor Sakura lately.

Spruce and Goose...I have no idea why. When I saw the tri (with the black butt) I though "Spruce"...the "Goose" part just naturally followed.

How cute. They're so little and adorable.

The babies have to weigh a certain amount before you can safely dose them with ivermec. I forget if it is 8 or 12 ounces. Look it up at GL.

Hey guys thanks for the names,

Their names are now, Oscar for the tri color, and Tico for the brown and white one.

The night went great they are in my bedroom with me, and boy do they sqeak, and I have a chirper.at firstI thought my parakeet was talking, that he wanted out the cage, but it was Tico chirping away. They are doing well though, both boys are 1 lb 2 ounces and the other 1 lb 3.5 ounces. My boys seem interested in them though, I am keeping them seperate for awhile, I will introduce them in a few weeks, I want to get them use to me and their surroundings, the cage I have now they have never seen so much room, one is on the third level chirping and the other at the very bottom hiding.I am going to make another c&c for them after I quarentine and when they are ready I will built a 3x9 with two complete incolsed levels, when they are introduced all my guys together. Man that is half of my spare bedroom, but they are well worth it. I just cant wait to see my husbands face when he comes home from Iraq, but guys thank all of you for helping me out.

As fas as the lady is concerned if I was here at the time, I would have given her a peice of my mind. But I am glad she bought them to me, I am alittle upset of the cage size and they were left in direct sunlight in the heat, I am in the desert and it does get hot over here, luckily yesterday it was not hot. But it just goes to show you why majority of piggies show up at the shelter or local rescues. But Oscar and Tico will have a great home with me, and now they have 5 other brothers ready to popcorn and play with them.

Well thanks again for the names.

The chirping/singing thing can be somewhat of a shocker. The first time I heard one of mine do it I thought my fish filter was dying. Then I heard it again about a week later and I was able to determine where it was coming from. I didn't hear it again for several months, then one evening in March I was in the living room watching TV and it started. I went to the cage and the pig who I thought had done it before was doing it again, only this time for about 15 minutes. The other pigs could have cared less - they were just doing their thing while she was singing away. I am beginning to think it is a change of season thing for my pig. The first time was somewhere between August and September and this time was in March.

They are so lucky they got to you, Christy. Seven pigs is a lot, are you sure you can handle it? I don't doubt you.

Great name choices!) I have a hedgehog called Oscar and I've always wanted to call one of my future piggies 'Tikka'
