Hair Loss Found A tuft of fur, why?

Hey! Today I found a tuft of fur in the piggy cage. It seems to be a pretty good chunk and it is held together at the bottom with what I think is skin. All of my piggies have shiny hair and I cannot find any bald spots? They are both young adults. I think the tuft is from my Abyssinian as it is rather long, is this a thing that just happens? How concerned should I be? I will try to link a picture if I can. Thanks!

I wouldn't be super concerned by just the one tuft. It may simply be an old scab coming off from a small nip from another guinea pig. Just keep an eye on them for more, as sometimes fungal infections can cause similar hair plugs but i would expect more than one in that case.
