Hey y'all. For the bottom layer of bedding, I use alot of newspaper, so it's all flat. Sould I use clear packing tape to tape it down with?

Thanks.

Lots of Love,

Em

Do you put other bedding on top of the newspaper? Or not the GP will "pull" the paper out.

Yes, I put shavings over the newspaper. So should I tape the paper to the bottom?

You shouldn't have to. I use it for my cage bottom and they never have gotten to it if it's covered completely with bedding. I wouldn't worry about the tape unless eating the paper becomes a serious issue. Hope this helps! =)

I agree - no taping required. I use several layers of newspaper with bedding on top and although they do sometimes have a chew and pull if there are any bits of paper sticking up around the edges, they've never done enough damage to stop it being easy to roll up come changing day. Plus they do seem to enjoy the occasional chew and tear, so I don't worry about it!

Hey,

Thanks SO much for y'all's responses! It was a big help! :)

Lots of Love,

Em

For my bedding I use:

Bottom layer: Newspaper
Then, a little bit of shavings
Then, shredded up newspaper
Then, some more bedding!

LoL
