Feet Foot Problem

Hello, today I noticed that one of my Guinea pigs has a swollen foot. I saw pictures of bumble foot but it didn’t look like that. It’s his front foot, it’s swollen, peeling, and kind of purple? I will admit that their cage was overdue for a cleaning and his nails should’ve been trimmed sooner. I asked my mom what to do and she said to let his feet soak in warm water for a little. I did that and then I trimmed their nails, it seemed to help. I’ve had them for about three years, we got them from a rescue, but none of us are experts on Guinea pigs. I would really appreciate any advice you have. I added before and after pictures.

Also his butt is like big? I hope you know what I mean by that, I’ve heard it’s common. It’s been like that for a year or two and it doesn’t seem to bother him. Any advice on that would also be appreciated.

I can't see his feet all too well, but that looks quite nasty and I'd take him to a vet! You will likely need to get antibiotics along w/ foot soaks and/or wraps.

Could you get larger, more close-up pictures of his feet that are better lit? It's very hard to see what's going on.

By "his butt is big," do you mean he has large testicles? If so, why didn't you just say so? They ARE normal, but if that's not what you're talking about, we need to see a picture of that as well.

No I mean it’s like his poop is clogged it’s hard to explain. I will provide a picture when I get home. It also causes him to have large poop, like a bunch in a ball like shape. Thats what makes his butt big.

You need to be checking his anal sac and penis sheath once a week to see if they need cleaning -- more often if they are really gunky.

Yes, my mom says it is an impaction and it causes his poop to come out in big clumps. It’s been a while since he’s been to the vet and I forgot what the vet said about it. He wasn’t there for that though so I think it just slipped my mind. I will take him to the vet for his foot soon. Thank you for the acvice.
