Does it matter how high the food bowl is for a pig? I heard that it shouldnt be too high so they dont have to reach into it, but i see i lot of pigtures with high-ish bowls? Ive always used pretty low bowls and lately I've found the bedding get into it.

I use low bowls too. Even with high bowls, the bedding can go flying and end up there. I have one high bowl and my pig just tips it over and the pellets spill everywhere. If you clean the cage everyday it shouldn't matter...unless of course you're finding beans and wet bedding in the bowls. ;)

I use a low bowl too, but I usually tend to pick out some of the bedding that gets in there throughout the day. It keeps Libby from having to dig through bedding to get to the pellets.

My bowl is about 2 in. high, so would that be considered low? And I don't think your pigs will starve if you do accidentally get a to high one, they'll find a way to reach the food.

thanks everybody!!
