Hello. I have 5 boars and recently adopted 3 sows. For those of you who have both sexes, how do you manage floortime? None of my piggies are spayed or neutered so I will have to have separate floortimes.

I have floorspace that they will all have to share at different times. Can I use the same floor cover/towels, etc.? Or, do I need to clean it in between? Should the boys or girls go first?

Basically, can I let the three girl piggies run and play and then after they are safe back at home, let the boys run? Will that cause problems? Or vice versa?

Thanks for the advice.

Well im no expert as i only have 2 (or are getting 2 pigs next month) I woud deffinetly make the boys go first, because if the sent of females is there they will probly fight over who gets the girls. as for cleaning the floor covrings.......maybe just use a towl for when the boys go, and a diffrent towl for when the girls go. Then when they have some time jsut in the cage, you can clean the 2 towls. But as i said im no expert so before taking action, see what the Pro's think

I would do the boys first then the girls. Inbetween floortimes (not inbetween girl and boy floortimes inbetween the days of floortime) I would clean what you use on the ground. One the ground I would recomend showercurtains or waterproof material so inbetween the days of floortime you can go outside and rinse it (and the optional soap) with a hose.

Thank you so much. I bought some of the 'picnic' table covers for the floor but shower curtains would work better. My piggies thank you.

If you use the table colors with the side up that you have up if you put it on a table it would work the same. Shower curtains have the little holes at the top which table covers don't.
