I just started using fleece and one of my pigs was covered in pee. He never had a problem with it when i used bark but he always has used the bathroom right where he sleeps. I was just wondering what could help, or if i need to change back to regular bedding.

is he a long haired piggy?
anyways, the fleece should have dried between the time he peed and went to bed. what have you got under the fleece? can i reccomend baby crib pads?

I have two layers of fleece, then towels, then a table cloth.

Yes he has long hair and his belly and his bottom were covered in urine. i had to give him a bath.

loves2travel, do you use fleece?

It could be that you had the fleece wrong side up. There is a right side and a wrong side of fleece. Look at the edge, it should curl to the underside a bit. It does take practice to be able to see the difference in the fleece sides.

were you able to fix the problem, or have you permanently given up on fleece?

I have switched back to pine bedding.

thats too bad the fleece didn't work out for you. Some people love it, others hate it. I guess you fell into the latter.

I liked it cause it was easier, cleaner, and had no oder, but i cant bathe mo (1 of my pigs) every day.
