How do you make an absorbent fleece potty pad that is reusable? I know to use fleece for the top and bottom layer but what do I layer inside it for a washable absorbent reusable pee pad for on top of the c and c cage fleece bedspreads in the potty corners?

You can use u-haul brand moving pads that can be bought online or at most u-haul locations. Just measure & cut as needed:

Or

You can use Zorb absorbent material from wazoodle. There are different widths. If you are making large C&C pads go with the 45 or 60 inch width, otherwise for small potty pads you can get the cheaper 30" width:
https://www.wazoodle.com/fabrics/zorb/zorb-original/zorb-fabric45.html

I have used both successfully.

You are absolutely welcome Craftymelli7.

Let me know if you have any further questions about making your fleece pads.

I will suggest you try the anti-pill PLUSH fabric from JoAnn's. I used to love the blizzard, but lately the anti-pill plush (not to be confused with the basic anti-pill) has been wicking quicker after making new pads & holding up better to many uses/washes.

When I make these I have used lightweight kitchen towels, dish dryer mats, and microfiber towels for the middle absorbent layer. They wash and dry better if they’re a little lighter. I also make one side fleece and the other plain woven fabric like quilt fabric. The plain fabric is nice for a hay pile because the hay doesn’t stick. And flipped over the fleece side is nice for snuggling.
