Hi all

I have bought a Cagetopia Cage Liner - 2x2.5 for the new cage I have ordered.... they are over $60 each and I assume I will really need more than one for when the original is being washed. Any tips?

Also, I have seen some posts about people putting things under the fleece. I thought the fleece went straight down onto the cage... am I wrong?

Help much appreciated :)

Plain fleece has to have an absorbent layer under it -- it wicks the liquid from its surface down to the absorbent layer, thus staying dry itself. The absorbent layer can be anything from towels or newspaper (neither recommended), U-haul pad, mattress pad, or wood pellets.

If you've bought a liner, it probably has the absorbent layer sewed to it, so you won't need anything else. If it's just plain fleece, you'll have to put a layer underneath it.

Thanks - they are the lined one.

You've now got two threads going about supplies for these pigs. Please pick the one you want and let me know, and I'll close the other one.

Also, when you get to the point of needing a medical thread, you get ONE THREAD PER PIG. It's just much easier for people to help with medical issues if they've got all the history right in front of them, rather than having to chase around over the forum to find it all.

Hi - probably makes sense to close the one in the introduction thread, since the other sections may get more traffic. Thanks. I’m new to forums so appreciate the guidance.
