Forgive my lack of knowledge about this. I'm actually now looking for a few pigs, often on Craig's List. Most of them look like a legit family no time, kids are bored, etc. Once in awhile, in my part of the world, Eugene, OR, I'm finding a few ads from same person with same title and pigs that look not so much like it was a family with one or two. My hunch is that this is probably a breeder but I can't be sure so....I don't want to flag people in error.
How do we know or how has it come about that Craig has agreed that he doesn't want breeders using his service? That's kind of cool and surprising but a good thing, just curious about it.
I think it's hard to tell... I have seen some ads on this site that don't seem like breeders, so I don't think we should flag them all. I think you can tell by the "story" or lack of one. Also, if they have a lot of pigs they are probably breeding to feed snakes, or something. I think we just have to use our best judgement. If you are interested in getting pigs, then you can ask the seller if they breed Guinea Pigs.
Hi guys! I just moved to the LA area and need help flagging all of the breeders that are lisitng on Craigslist. I just can't believe how many people are breeding all types of animals! Its soo sad.
I have been spending an hour a night trying to flag each one that I see. (I think of it as the game Whack-A-Mole).
If any of you have any extra time can you look through the Los Angeles Pets section? I am hoping to make it enough of a pain to keep some breeders off CL.
