Just finished a couple of minutes ago. I completely cleaned out CC's cage. Put in the new bedding, and switched a few things around in the cage. CC seems to like it better. I put his cylinder on the left side by his veggie bell. I put his food, toy, salt lick, hay stack and treat on the right side. Left the water in the middle. I also treated him to some red bell pepper which he quickly ate and some tomato which he is nibbling at. It was also a lot easier to pick him up this time. He still scampered, but when I held him, he didn't try to get loose or anything. He was very calm, even squeeked a bit. So, things went well. I still haven't received his new nest bedding or hay wheel in the mail yet. I'm also checking out an adoption on Saturday. See, what happens. Other wise, he's one happy cavy.

Glad everything is going well for you. Just to mention that you can throw away the salt lick. They dont need that.

They dont need salt licks? I have one for Peanut, but she never usees it.

CC seems to like it.

This is what I have read on this site.

They can actually make a pig potentially hypertensive and can completely imbalance a decent diet.

(The only thing you'll do with a salt lick is dehydrate your pig.

They could OD on salt (they get it in their pellets as well) and it could cause more health problems.
It's extremely hard on their kidneys and they can get serious complications from the excess sodium.

I'll take it out right now. Keep it in storage just in case.

Ok im gonna take mine out and throw it away, but I will kepe the holder maybe for veggies.

You might as well throw it away you don't need it, it's not good for them and it's also not good for hamsters either.

Actually a friend wants it for his rabbit. I'll give it to him.

CC is just having a field day with his new bedding. He was burying himself in it and then peaking his head through. He loves it.
