I just had a fire drill on my college campus. I knew it was a drill because a RA told me before I left the room. I left the pigs inside. Could a fire alarm make them go deaf? I just walked back in and Nutmeg didn't wheek when I came in, not even after I crinkled a bag. Are they just freaked out? I am a little worried :(

(of course if there was a real fire, i would take them out with me)

I'm sure they're a bit scared but I don't think it would cause them to go deaf. What school do you go to where you can have pigs?! I'm jealous... :/

Im not allowed! Haha we can only have fish on our dorms. I just am sneaky! And live in a very crowded room due to their cage haha

I feel like they were just shaken by the experience and it's going to take a few hours for them to take there guard down, but yes, those college dorm alarms are ear piercingly loud, I know what you are talking about! I have no idea of how sensitive their ears are and if damage could be done, but maybe if they don't get back to there old selves again in about a days time, make a vet appointment?

Do you have a plan on what to do with your pigs when the people in charge find out you have guinea pigs?

My boyfriend is a RA ;) But the rules are really for cats, because sooo many people bring them into the dorms. Worst case scenario, they go home and live with my mom. Not worried about it though, it won't happen.
