Haha! My phone must have posted this earlier because I didn't get to finish.
I have been trying to bond all 5 of my boys together for a while now and it hasn't been working. I ended up getting 3 to get along really well but the other two didn't fit in that group and didn't want to get along with each other or any of the other guinea pigs. So I have had a trio of males and then two singletons.
Last week on cage cleaning day I just decided to try on a whim to see if the two singletons, Eddy Pig and Buddy, would get along and they did. They hardly chased each other, rumble-strutted or anything. They have now been together for a week and are sharing a hidey house. Eddy Pig use to constantly chew on his cage bars and he seems to have stopped that (unless there are veggies coming) so I think he must be happier. Buddy use to always sleep side by side to Eddy Pig between the cage bars but now they are sleeping next to each other just fine.
I am so glad they are working out together. I just hope they keep it up. =)
