FINALLY, a ramp my piggies use!!!

I must've tried 5 different builds for the ramp to my piggies' upper deck. Stacked boxes, modified bird ramps, different configurations of bent grids... and never once would my piggies venture up to the upper deck. Now, finally, I've got it figured out.

It's covered with an old bathmat. The lower grid gives my piggies a place to hide / sleep, and the height makes the angle of the upper grid less steep so they feel comfortable climbing up. w00t!

Glad to hear you found one they will use, as well as sleep under. My bath mat is about ready for the dump. Perhaps I will save mine in case I want to use it as a ramp too.

my only concern is that they tend to nibble on the fibers. The rug is so old that I don't remember what it's made of, so I don't know if it's okay for them to eat.

My piggies also nibbled on the carpet at first. At first they thought it was their dinner, yum, yum. I thought they would be pooping carpet piles. Eventually they lost interest in it. I very rarely see them nibbling on it. So hopefully after time they will also lose interest in it. Just make sure you have other things for them to nibble on.
