I actualy don't know. I had to restrain myself when grooming her, I really got the feel of it and didn't want to stop.... So you might enjoy it? I think I read somewhere that it grows 1inch a month? But I could be crazy...

My family lives in New Orleans btw. Im only up here for college. I could get her down there easy.

Ok I got the btw. I will work on my husband and see what happens w/ the other girl I'm looking at that voodoo is helping me w/. I'll let you know if we can get Babette or not. If you find someone else before I can get back to you by all means, let them give her a good home. I'm wanting to expand my crew. Jenn if you want her and Babette, or if you just prefer Angie Princess Queenie I can transport one or both (your choice) at Christmas time I think. I know I'm going to Chicago and it's pretty certain we are driving.

My boyfriend finally read this thread while I wasnt looking and was trying to sympathize with the hubbies that are caught in these situations. He was promptly given the death glare and threatened that Id leave him for my piggies if I needed the space. Heh, beat the hubbies into submission or do like I did and make them feel the piggy love :heart:

The drive to chicago is loooong. My boyfriend and I did it last christmas to visit his aunt/ go on an epic adventure. 16hours straight drive. I remember it was my turn to drive and he was sleeping and he woke up at some point. He looked over at me and asked me where we were. I was like "Hell if I know." Id really like to go up there again.

I've driven to Chicago numerous times. The drive is boring (flat farmland mostly) but not so bad.

Now that I have 2 kids we stop for the night someplace. Hubby is fine with me fostering Babette and, if desired, Angie Princess Queenie to drive them up in December. I have a <gasp, never thought it would be me> minivan so we have plenty of room for the pigs and a corral set-up for the night in the room.

Which reminds me. If there is anyone between Louisiana and Chicago that is interested in this pig or any of the pigs I listed in the other thread, and you are willing to wait until december I can transport them. I can also transport either Angie P.Q. or the other GPs into Mississippi to get them closer in those directions.

My son is so completely in love with Angie. He gave me every cent of his allowance to build another cage so we could get a girl if we could get HER. I actually had to take out a map to convince him that Vermont is NOT in between Chicago and Louisiana...not to mention the fact that my hubby would also have a fit if he came home to find another "rat." (It really is a term of affection -- we catch him trying to slip them carrots and pet them when he thinks no one is looking.) I hope she finds a happy forever home!

I'm not sure if you've been keeping up on another thread that vj & I have been "talking" on but I've almost got my husband warmed up to the idea of two more girls. I'll let you know as soon as I get the green light. I'm hoping to know w/in the next day or so. The kids and I have pretty much decided we want to adopt Angie and vj's foster girl, Babette. We of course would probably rename to girls Princess (for Angie) and Baby (for Babette). I'll keep ya posted.

Isn't what this whole forum is about? I just love this place and am very addicted to it. I work in social services as a caseworker linking up kids from birth to three years w/ therapists. I feel like this is a good thing and am VERY glad I stumbled upon this forum before I got my girls. Everyone is very supportive and informative. I have run into a few that need to remember that most of us our here because we want what is best for our animals (& children for those of us w/ kids) but other than the occasional disagreement, I feel very fortunate to have met some great people (& piggies.) I'm looking forward to getting my new girls. Voodoojoint said she'd foster Angie for me until we can meet up. I just need the green light from the hubby and I'm to a point where he is going to get overruled. TeeHee!!

Mamything, I can say yes!! I wore my husband down and got him to agree to take in Angie (aka Princess) and Babette (aka Baby that vj is fostering). I have to change the Peruvian's name cause its my best friend's name and even though were close I don't want to insult the poor thing-gp that is. HaHaHa!! Anyways, I guess we'll need to get w/ voodoojoint and decide how this will work and if you need anything from me. Thanks!! I'm soooo excited. I told vj that I'm going to buy all my girls little stockings w/ their names on it for Christmas. Now what to buy for their gifts.......Hmmmm!

Can you keep her for ~2 more weeks? Since Babette has mites I don't want to bring anothe pig in the house until she is mite free. If you can't keep her that long I'm sure we can work something out here.

VJ said she'd foster Princess for me as soon as she had treated Baby for mites (w/in the next few weeks). She'll bring up both girls at Christmas time. She's driving to Chicago for the holidays and will swing near Springfield. I'm assuming you two can meet up after Baby is cleared. Thanks for everything. I wasn't planning on adopting that far away but they both stole my heart.

Thats fine. I can manage her for a little while longer. I wouldn't want her to get sick. I just started college this week. I don't think I could find the time to get home this weekend anyways. Im really excited for you. Im trying my best not to get attached to her. Shes so pretty :heart:

That's great. Jenn has been approved by the SPCA so she gets Baby. They actually let me approve her. I guess they are convinced I'm dedicated to these little critters.

Let me know when you plan on coming to Nawlins next. Baby may be cleared up sooned then 2 weeks and I can probably find space to house Angie Princess seperatly if she's not.

It just warms my heart on how well everyone works together. Thank you for all your assistance-from my kids, myself but especially Baby & Princess!! I hope everything goes well and we see the girls in a few months. I hope I can last that long. Now VJ don't get attached to them. You guys are GREAT!! Can you tell I'm really excited? I'm going to explode. I emailed their pigtures to my work email address and showed everyone at work. They think I'm nuts but I love my girls-all five, well seven if you count the human ones. TeeHee!! (Sorry lack of sleep and I get alittle ADD.)
