enlarged genitals

I happened to pick up my boy guinea pig, and noticed that his gentials were enlarged and it looks like its swollen. What do I do? is there any home remadies? I dont have the money to bring to the vet. He doesnt seem to be picking at it or anything but it must hurt

Is there a second pig in the cage with him? If so, maybe things got a bit frisky. I've had to clean my males up more than once. Maybe he's just excited!

I hope you get some better answers than mine!!! LOL

How old is he.I remember with one of my older pigs right before he died he had enlarged genitals.Sorry I cant help you out at all i just thought i'd prepare you for the worst :S.

It could very well be an abscess. Money or no, you've got to figure out a way to get your guinea pig to a guinea pig-competent vet asap.

See a vet. Work out a payment plan. Do what it takes. That is absolutely part of the responsibility of caring for animals.

Hmmm... I don't know, but I think you should find a vet that does. Nobody can tell you over the internet without seeing your piggy. Just take it to the vet and then you'll know what it is. Thanks for asking! =)

he is all better now, i guess he did get frisky and just had some build up. I clean ed it and it all fell off. He is doing much much better!
