Does anyone else suffer from (broken link removed)? It's killing me.

Do you have any tips to releive the severe pain/vomiting/passing out? Anything is appriciated.

I currently try high doses of Naproxen, a source of heat, and physical excersize.

I used to have alot of that as well. I know what you mean about killing you. It feels like someone is twisting your insides in knots (at least mine did). I tried everything you are and it didn't help. Honestly what helped the most was birth control pills which helped to control the cycle and flow. However, I wouldn't recommend that unless one would have another need for them. After suffering with it for years and a couple of different quack HMO doctors, I finally found a real doctor to investigate the problem. My culprit was a tumor the size of a 16 week pregnancy that required a hysterectomy which also revealed endometriosis and fibroid tumors. I know that's not much help but I do sympathize with you since I know what you are going thru. Hang in there and hope you find something soon to relieve the pain

I don't have any suggestions, just that I know what you are going through. I used to experience some of the symptoms listed when I was teenager - the vomiting, sweats and bad cramps. Fortunately, it used to only be every other month. Also, PMS hadn't even been diagnosed yet. During my last year of high school the symptoms started to get less and less.

I did go on birth control- but gained twenty pounds in water so went off of it. I have yet to loose the weight unfortunetilly.

I'm not a pill taker, but have you tried taking water pills to see if that will help with the weight?

Hopefully your problem will decrease as you get older. Exercise does help with the cramp situation, though when I was younger everyone when to bed when they had bad cramps.

Slap, I am so sorry to hear you are having this problem. I suffered for my entire life with it nearly as bad as you. I was fortunate enough to work for an OB/GYN who turned me on to Anaprox (naproxen). It really helped as long as you followed the directions exactly. Take two as soon as the pain is noticed and one every 4-6 hours as directed by your physician. The trick is to never let it wear off completely. Now if you are using Anaprox DS, the dosage is a bit different. It upset my stomach and I went to the regular strength. I also used Cataflam. Those heat-wrap type pads work wonders especially at night. I was fortunate enough to have a hysterectomy a year and a half ago that uncovered a mirad of nasty problems and now I no longer suffer. I just pray my daughters are spared this horror. I wish you the very best.

Thanks. I currently dose up on the Naproxen too.

I wish your daughters luck too. Its a horrid thing.

I encourage you to talk with your gynecologist about alternative pain medications. Cataflam and other medications may give you more relief. There is no reason for you to be in this much pain. If your current physician doesn't seem to be willing to help, please contact another. You will eventually find one sympathetic enough to help.

The reason I stopped going to the last gyno is because she gave me hell about gaining 13 pounds in a month on the pill. I will talk to my doctor. Thanks for the recommendation.

Weight gain is an unfortunate, unavoidable side effect of birth control as well as many others. Can't blame you for not taking it anymore. Your very young to have to suffer with this. I hope you can find another doctor who will listen to you. It may require an MRI or CAT Scan to determine the underlying reason. If your lucky you may get over it with age. Good luck in finding a resolution.

I am so sorry slap. I have never had (broken link removed) so I can't really help with anything, but I hope the pain goes away.

It's funny Pooh replies to all my threads trying to be nice to me.

Was googless Pooh too?

Yes, she was.

Slap, before the incident, pooh was always nice to you, to me, to everyone! So it's not that funny at all... when she was throwing insults at you she was going through a rough time. Now, she may be back to her normal self? Just a thought...

piglet i dont think she was ever nice.....

I didn't know there was a name for that. Slap, I hope your condition is just temporary (I don't know how young you are). It was worse for me when I was in my late teens. Sometimes being a girl can be rough! As mentioned by someone else, the best things for me is Aleve (which I think is naproxem sodium) and a heat source. My fiance rubs my tummy for me... his hand is like a heating pad. :) I really hope you feel better!

I went on Depo. No periods, no PMS, no pain, no anemia.

Have you tried any different types of birth control? I went on orthotricyclin and never had any weight gain problems. I did go off of the pill for a short while due to emotional issues that caused me to forget to take it. The pain came back so badly I've swore I'll never off it again. This year they changed the pill I'm on and I did gain weight with it, can't remember the name of it right now. It may not hurt to check out other pill brands.

There is also a new pill, patch or shot (don't remember which) where you can only have a period four times a year, and it's supposedly much lighter and less painful. Find a new OB/GYN and ask LOTS of questions!

I was given that option, but I know there was a downside (which I don't remember). I will have to look into it. Thanks.
