Hello..I was wondering if anyone can give some advice on my Winter white hammie Pipsqueak ...He is about a year and a half old and he has lost some weight. My question is to me his bottom teeth look long ..How would I tell for sure if they were..?? He also likes to keep his cheek pouches full all the time and this also made me think he has long teeth .Ive had many hamsters and had teeth clipped by a vet but I DO not like putting the animal under stress if not needed...This problem played thru my head last night and I slept horribly

Do his teeth look longer than normal? Bottom teeth on hamsters (and most rodents) look really long when they do things like yawn because of how their jaw is set into their skull, so they grow longer than the top teeth. Has he been eating less than normal? Or just exercising more? My Russian dwarves had some fluctuation in size, but it never seemed to last long.
