right now, I'm thinking of using oxbow cavy cuisine as dry pellets. from expierience, is this a good dry food to use? Does anyone have a better or just as good alternative that may be bit cheaper?

Cavy Cuisine is about the best you can get for adult pigs - a good quality plain timothy based pellet. Have a look at this page for some information on all the different brands (broken link removed).

I agree--Cavy Cuisine is the best you'll be able to get. =)

Ditto! Oxbow makes the best piggie food. I'm using Cavy Performance since my pigs are under a year.

oxbow does make the best piggy food but their shipping charges are double the price of the item! I was thinking of kleenmamas hay loft...has anyone used their pellets before, are they any good?

I've had kleenmama pellets before. Are they good? How can you tell? They came loose in a plain plastic bag with no ingredients list. I have no idea where they came from or how they were stored. The pigs ate them but ....?

I got my Cavy Performance pellets direct from Oxbow and paid the horrific shipping charges because I couldn't find that food elsewhere. However, when my piggies are older I plan either getting what my vet has (if good and reasonably priced) or getting Oxbow Cavy Cuisine from (broken link removed) where if you spend over $35, you get free shipping.

Here is the ingredient list for Kleenmama's pellets, which I found on her website.

I switched to oxbow cavy cuisine as recommended by my vet and the pigs love so much better.
