Doesnt eat out of my hand

My guinea pig Lilly, who alot of you have heard me talk about or ask questions about is making me think that she doesn't like me. I give her alot of attention, treats and toys. And she still won't eat out of my hand when she is in her cage, but she will take food from my dad! who doesn't ever hold her or anything. I know this is a silly question but do you guys/ gals have any idea why she doesn't take carrots from me? Am I giving her to much attention?

maybe you should let her smell your hand everytime you hold and feed her so she gets used to your smell.

My hedgehog always has to smell my hand before I handle him otherwise he gets scared, as he won't regonise who I am.

I don't know how long you have had your guinea, but mine only started coming up to the front of the cage (in hopes for food, not because they like me) just recently. It took them about 4 months.

Mine took a while too. Now they come up to look for food everytime I come in the room. Took about three months. They may always run away from you when food isn't you intention.

Sounds good. Coco didn't eat out of my hand till about a month after I got her.
