Does your piggy breath rapidly?

Forgot the kind of piggy I have. It's the one with the hair that sticks up and wont stay down. Many of you have one. She seems fine in every way but I have noticed ever since I got her that her heart beats very rapidly when Im watching her. Just wondering if this is the case with yours?

How long ago have you gotten her? In general, pigs often have a slightly rapid heart beat, but if they're new, maybe a week or two, they might still be frightened and have rapid breathing around you.

I agree, she may just be frightened, but you should to take her to a vet to be on the safe side. Our first pig did the same thing. He seemed fine, other than the heavy breathing and he would only eat the fresh veggies I gave him, not his pellets. Anyway, I took him to the vet 2 days after I got him because of the heavy breathing and found out he had an URI. Unfortunately, he passed away four days later. I don't mean to frighten you, but if you take her to the vet, you can at least rule out any infections. Good luck. I hope she is okay.
