Does the weather affect what cavies eat?

I've noticed mine have been eating 25% less dry food over the past couple of days. It's got quite a bit cooler now that autumn is here. Can the temperature affect their eating habits or should I be on the look out for something else? I actually took them for a general health check at the vets a few days ago and they said they appeared to be fine.

Mine seem to be eating more pellets and less veggies now that the weather is cooler. (Maybe it's the new Cavy Cuisine from Oxbow! =)

Mine seem to eat more of everything in the winter, they also seem to poop a lot more.

well, the poop is a result of the increased food intake. but how much more do they eat in thw winter over summer?

Well I know they eat a lot of hay more than usual and a ton of pellets. But I don't increase the veggies. (in the winter)

That's a funny idea! I don't know.
