C&C Does it count?

So I recently built my guinea pigs new cages. They are split up with 3 of them in a 3x4 and 2 of them in a 5x2.

I know that adding a loft "doesn't count" towards cage space and I understand the reasons behind that as far as open space to run. My question is whether connecting these two cages [3x4 and 2x5] by possibly 2 ramps counts as a large enough cage for all 5 of them. . . ?

It's not set in stone yet because proper introductions have not been made, but I feel like they have a decent chance to all get along after observing everyone's behaviours.
One of my pigs, Waylon, was slightly more dominant but since moving to the larger living space, he's been wonderful to his bf, Bocefus.

Any tips? Does that count?

I am not sure exactly how you would connect them other then just adding them together....Why do you need to put ramps to connect them. Why not just take down one side on both and connect them.

The spare bedroom that they sleep in is barely big enough for the way I have it now to be 7 grids long. The 2x5 is build so a 1x2 section of it is under the top cage, like a cave area, and then there is slight storage under the rest of the 3x4.
If people aren't going to be upset that my pigs are in "too small" of a cage, then I was going to try introductions and then connect them with ramps. I was thinking I would have to make 2 of them for the 5 pigs just in case one is in use and to reduce tension.

This is the set-up now. This is a bad picture, but it's difficult to get both in the whole frame at the same time.

Why not put the upper cage on the ground and just loose that little bit of 2x1 space. It would be like a 2x6 attached to a 3x5 in an L shape then. For 5 guinea pigs you need a 2x7 so you already have plenty of room!

You can always try and see if they can get along in that space. With ramp connecting cages, they can block each other from getting up and down, so make sure the ramp is wide enough for them to get pass each other. And it would be better if you have hay/food/water on both levels.

Are they all boars? I like Inle_Rabbit's suggestion. You can lose that 1x2 bit and put the whole thing on the floor.

Edit to add: 2x6 or 3x4 is the minimum size for 5. So it could work, depends on how well they get on.
