Do your pigs prefer cuddle cups or sacks?

I am going to try making some cozies for my girls' cage but I'm not sure which they would prefer. They don't seem to be burrowers but like most piggies, they like having something to hide under. I was thinking of making a cuddle cup and putting it behind their fleece curtain where it is dark. Would a sack be better? Any suggestions are welcome :)

My girls and Pluto prefer cuddle cups, but then my three boys prefer snuggle sacks. Its really depends on each pig, as they all like different things.

I think you should have a go at trying to make one of each and then see what one your girls like better.:)

I haven't used either before, but in a lot of the pictures I see of cuddle sacks the pigs are sitting on top instead of inside. If you do make a sack, it probably needs to have something pretty tough to keep it open.

Yup, that is true I use wadding on the front of mine to keep them open but at the same time the pigs can still go on top.

My two cents: My pigs like shelter. They don't use their lone cuddle cup. I have sewn them lots of different cozies, all are covered. They like this misshapen cuddle sac I made too. I was playing around with fleece and made a favourite.

You might want to try a cuddle sac first. Make sure to sew it so it stays open. Or you can make one of each and see.

I think it's a matter of each guinea pig's preference. I prefer pigloos because they're easier to keep clean. I had two cuddle cups and none of mine really laid in them. They'd flip them and hide under them. They would get soiled quickly which was a pain so I gave them away. I use sleeping bags when I hold them but don't keep them in the cages.

Thanks for all the replies. I think maybe I will try a cuddle cup and put it behind their curtain where they nap. If they don't like it, I'll try to cuddle sack :) I don't have a sewing machine unfortunately so I have a feeling I will be awhile lol

Mine LOVE cuddle sacks (my kids call them socks). I used a foam ring to keep the front open -- just sewed it into a little sleeve I made in the front. It's just like a little den. One of mine won't use the cuddle cup at all, and the other one squishes it down and naps on TOP of it, lol. I recently made something that I haven't yet put in there because it doesn't match their current decor -- it's a little like a piggie couch, lol. We'll see how well they like that.

I don't have any cuddle cups but my pigs love their sleeping sacks. They're not sewn any particular way to hold them open, but the pigs don't have any problem getting in.

My pigs like cuddle cups more...if I have a towel draped over the corner the cuddle cup is in, then they will go lie on it. But if it's uncovered they won't sleep in it. They love their huts from Jens Custom Crafts and tunnels are a favorite too.
