Do they fold up?

I'm going to attempt to make a C&C cage tomorrow and the week to follow....but I'm a college student so I go home on the holidays. I was wondering if the cages fold up easily with the zip ties? I want to be able to fold it up and take it with me in the car to my parents house. any ideas? TIA!

If you keep it one level, no top, not bottom, then yes it can fold. The harder part is moving the coroplast. I have a two level, so I just use my playpen as a cage when I go home.

Keep it a 1-level rectangular cage. String the cubes together with twist ties and it should fold just fine. Then make a rectangular box out of the coroplast and slip into the cage and don't attach it to the sides of the cage. You can fold the coroplast box in 1/2 for transport. To fold it, score the underside of the coroplast box with a utility knife, just enough so it folds, but not enough that you cut right through it.

Or, you could have two pieces of coroplast (one for you, one for your parents' house) and make a smaller transport carrier for the trip.

that would be easier if you would have 2 cages in 2 different locations and also to keep a piggie in a secluded place while travleing you could take cubes and make a 2x1 size with a crate bottom and put card board box in the bottom and sides and then add an old thin blanket on the bottom and you could put a water bottle in there too. Also put a blanket on top of the piggers to so they can be safe and warm. 2 seperate blankets. Thats what I do when I take em to vets or visit any one.

Ok, glad you found it helpful. Just thought that mey work better, seeing as you will have their seperate food dishes, water bottles, etc. that won't need to be transported with either. You can get only one set though, if you just want one. Good luck, hope whatever you decide on works!
