Do pigges really need a companion?

I know they say that they are social animals and we pay loads of attention to sabrina but my husband wants me to find out if she should have a cage mate. (we'd get another girl) I also need to get a bigger home for them. What size is best for 2 gps?

Your cavy should definitely have a cage mate. 2 guineas can live in a 2x3 grid cage, however a 2x4 cage would be much better and is the preferred size.

She would be happier with a companion, yes. I would go with a 2x4 C&C cage.

I am excited to start making a new cage for her. A gentleman in my area is giving me so grids so now I just need to figure out where to get some chloroplast.

Another question I have is that Sabrina is 3 months old, do I need to adopt another female similar to her age or can I get one who is older and larger? I don't want her to become bullied by a bigger piggie or is that just not an issue?

Since I got poppy April only leave s her hidie house for pellets and water she wont come out for veggies you touch her and she screams in pain and all night I here April screeming because Poppy is nipping her but there is no bloodshed. Is this normal behavior?
