Do cavies ever get gas or vomit?

Does anyone know if cavies get gas or vomit? I think that I read once that if a cavy has certain vegetables, it will give them gas. But I've never heard my cavies pass gas. That is why I'm asking if they get gas or do they vomit when they get sick.

I think too much cabbage can cause gas. Guinea pigs cannot vomit.

From what I've read, guinea pigs cannot vomit. What goes in through the mouth cannot exit through the mouth. It's how their system works. So to put it crudely, what goes in one way must come out the other. I may be wrong and will leave this open for others to dispel.

As for gas, I've read that they can pass gas. In fact, my male does pass gas occasionally- it is silent and smells. :evil:
