Fur do abynessians get longer hair as they grow?

i just got an abynessian guinea pig 5 days ago. she's pretty small and im wondering will her hair get longer as she grows bc she doesnt look as "fluffy" as most abynessians ive seen.

They do get fluffier as they age...some longer than others. Nothing really longer than two inches though.

ok awesome. can i use a regular comb to groom her for the time being? i plan on getting a baby brush soon.

Abby's have rosettes in their hair. She might be a mixed breed that has other characteristics mixed in. I had one Abby that had only a few rosettes and smooth fur in other spots.

Small soft bristle cat brushes work well on guinea pig fur. I use a comb, too.

My Aby is almost 5 months old. His hair hasn't grown per se, but it has gotten fluffier.
