@pinky - Yes you are correct. The 8 space grids are generally acccepted as being unsafe.

I just wanted to know why. Nobody has been able to offer conclusive proof that they are unsafe- all I'm hearing is what might happen.

Anyway, I'm walking away from this thread. My pigs are safe, loved, and well-cared for.

It's definitely happened. You don't want to believe it, that's your issue. If it hadn't happened and more than once, we would have stepped in and corrected the info.
