We have a guinea pig rescue near us that does really cheap health check ups, thank goodness they're there for us. Come to find out my piggie has some dental issues with her morals being overgrown or growing incorrectly. They recommended me to an exotic vet for teeth filing but I do not have the funds to afford to go to the vet with my guinea. I know how costly dental problems can get so quick with how often you need to go in. She is still eating and swallowing and is growing thinner and more uncomfortable. I was wondering how I can give my guinea as comfortable a life as I can for her without having to get her teeth filed or is this going to be an issue that persists until she stops eating entirely? Thank you for your help

This is not a problem that will go away on it's own. If you are already noticing weight loss and difficulty, you are already at a point where care from a qualified exotics vet is a must.

There is nothing you can do for her at home. The molars are likely overgrown into spikes, which can cause painful lacerations to her tongue and/or cheeks and will eventually trap her tongue down making it difficult and then impossible to swallow. She will slowly and painfully starve to death if it isn't treated.

I have dealt with this issue myself, with three different pigs. I hate to be the one to tell you this, but your pig requires treatment ASAP.

What @Guinea Pig Papa said. If you truly can't get vet care, the best thing for you to do is to surrender her to the rescue, if they'll take her, and let them get her the treatment she needs. Otherwise, she's going to die a relatively painful death.
