Hi Everyone!
Today while giving my Cinnabun his overdue mani/pedi, I noticed a yellowy crust above the area between his nostrils. He definitely did not have it last week so I feel strongly that this is a recent development. I did a search myself of other websites and forums before posting, I wanted a second opinion though. Since it kept popping up and the images were sort of similar, could it be a fungal nose strip? If it is, what were your experiences in taking care of it? Or maybe you have another suggestion as to what it may be!

It isn't the best picture since he doesn't like to be carried, hopefully you can see the crustiness I am referring to. I will provide a better picture when possible!

My second concern! Also with Cinnabun, not long ago I also found he had this enlarged nipple while trimming his nails (he seems to like surprising me during his nail trimming sessions!). He doesn't seem to be in any discomfort when I apply pressure to the area. He is still eating, drinking, knocking his hidey hut over, running around, basically he is showing no symptoms of anything for me to have been alarmed. prior to discovering it I tried searching for anything similar to this but have found nothing that would relate to him. Many questions were about females and lactating and well...he is a male. That I am sure of, haha. Has anyone experienced this with their male? Any clues to what it may be? I can provide a better picture if wanted here as well.

I do know a trip to the vet would clear things up and I wanted to rush to one when I discovered his nipple but it really isn't an option at the moment. I hope you can all understand!

See https://www.guinealynx.info/cheilitis.html and see if that looks like what your pig has. There's no way for us to tell from your picture.

The swollen nipple could be an infection or a mammary gland tumor. He needs to see a vet.

"Hoping you can all understand" isn't really what the concern is here. If you have a pet, you need to provide medical care for it just like you provide food and water. They depend on you for everything, and it's not fair to them to not take them to the vet when it's needed. You need a vet fund to take care of things like this, and of actual emergencies. A severe respiratory infection can cost hundreds of dollars for diagnostics and medications, and surgery is even worse. Most people set aside money regularly so that they don't have to postpone needed medical care for their pigs.
