Coughing?

This happend for the second time now and I'm wondering what it is. My boys have recently been to the vet, and the one that was sick is doing 100% better now. The other one was healthy and happy. But last week he made this kind of coughing sound when I fed them their dinner. It sounded like he was choking on something, so I ran over to see and he just looked up at me like I had the problem lol. He hasn't done it since until just a little while ago. I just gave them some romaine and he was eating away and he made the choking sound like two times. But he looked perfectly normal, didn't seem to have a problem, just kept on eating. He's stopped making the noise, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me what this is?

If they try to eat their food too fast, it can lodge in their throat and he is coughing to get it out.

What vet do you use? I also live in Orlando, FL - I have yet to find a good vet for my piggies

my Bardo had an RI and he gave me meds that totally cleared him up! The guy was great, it looks a little run down on the outside, but they seem to really care. Its on dean road and aloma. t hanks for the reply....i think he was just eating too fast....hes a pig! )

yeah i just noticed that same kind of sound today... i gave momma a peice of apple in my hand... let her finish it here, put her back in her cage and then she made that cough kind of sound... then wheeked for more apple... ha ha ha... she appears to be fine though

Pigs also hiccup sometimes when they eat too fast. Now that's a strange sound!

Yes, mine do it regularly. Its whenever I give them food, so I figured they were eating too fast. Nothing to worry about

yes I agree with all of these people. When my pigs eat to fast they start coughing but for only 10 seconds.
