Coroplast...

Is it possable to connect two different peices of coroplast together? I have a 2x3 cage and i want to make it a 2x4 but i don't want to buy more coroplast. I have extra coroplast that i could make into the right size but if i connect it would it leak at all if he pees on it?

Yeah, I did too. I had a 2x4 and made it a 2x6.

Ok Well i jsut looked at the extra coroplast i had and i don't think i have enough. I would have to put a lot of different peices together. Do you think a 2x3 is too small for 1 boar? If so then i will ask my mom if i can get more coroplast.

No, it is the minnimum size. You should get another boar for this one, though, and ask your mom for coroplast to make a 2x4 or 2x5.

I can only fit a 2x4 in my room now that i moved stuff around. I can't get another boar becasue the rescue were i adopted him from said that he wasn't good with other guinea pigs so they had to seperate him from all the others. I wish i could get another one but my mom would say no even if i could.

Well, try and ask her to get a spayed female (or nueter him). Show her the cavy spirit social life page. A 2x4 should work fine.

I am not sure if he would be ok with a female i don't think the rescue ever put him with a femal (spayed) because all they had were males.

One male and one female will almost ALWAYS get along. The female would instinctually submit to the male.

o i didn't know that. My mom isn't going to let me get another one anyway. I don't know how to convince her. the rescue i got him from said he wasn't good with guinea pigs at all. That is weird.

i took down the loft becasue he stopped going up there so now it is just a 2x3 i will post pictures soon.

Do females always get alng with males? If so should i get my guinea pig a spayed female friend. I don't know if my mom would let me. I pretty sure she wouldn't.

It would be lest costly to nueter him and get a non-spayed female. But you do what you want. Females almost always get along with males, unless there is more than one male, which you should never do.

Is it necessary for me to get another piggie? I know they are sociable animals. Its just that the rescue i got him from said he wasn't good with other piggies but she probably only put him with boars and not sows.

Those are the two best 'convincer' pages. THey work most of the time. One male and a female will always get along, at least better than two memers of the same sex.
