I know these C&C cages are virtually leakless after filling with litter, but I have concerned parents thinking I'm practically going to let my cavies pee on the carpet.

If I caulked the outside edges, waited for the caulk to dry, and then taped the edges so cohesive pressure isn't placed on the caulk, would this essentially "waterproof" the corners, and quiet my parentals?
