I found this recipe on the guinea pig fun website does it sound ok ?

[FONT=Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif]1 banana[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif]1/2 cup instant oats[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif]1 tablespoon water[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif]1 tablespoon raisins[/FONT]

[FONT=Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif]Preheat oven to 350 degrees.[/FONT]

[FONT=Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif]Remove and discard banana peel. Cream banana in a[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif]blender.[/FONT]

[FONT=Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif]Pour banana cream into a bowl. Stir in the oats. Add[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif]water. Mix. Add raisins. Stir.[/FONT]

[FONT=Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif]Drop by tablespoon onto a cookie sheet. Reshape[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif]slightly if desired.[/FONT]

[FONT=Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif]Bake 12 minutes. Let cool completely on cookie sheet.[/FONT]

[FONT=Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif]Makes half a dozen oatmeal cookies[/FONT]



Im not sure because I thought guinea pigs werent allowed oats and it sounds like ALOT of bananna ?

You're right..I think one banana is abit much? It causes constipation, but I;m not sure blended. Same with oats, unsure about them.

Well on account of the fact that Guinea Pigs cannot have oats, raisins or banana (well at least that much of it) I'm going to say no.

Yeah I thought it was a bit much ! But the wee cookies sounded cute haha !
Ive never fed my piglets bananna just to be safe !

The banana sounds like a little much, but I am not sure about the oats. Have you tried to Google search it?

Oats aren't good for cavies because they have a hard time digesting grains. Banana can and does cause bloat so that is on the rare list but it's preferred that it not be fed at all. Raisins are also on the rare list, one or two raisins once a month per pig are ok.

This is NOT a cavy friendly recipe. Do not make it and feed it to them.

Sounds like a healthy recipe ... for a HUMAN. Don't feed these to your piggies. All of the ingredients are on the rarely/never list. And they don't eat cooked food. Eat the cookies yourself and give the piggies a nice salad.
