Cold Weather Piggies

It's cold where I live now and I want to make sure Schiz isn't freezing. If I'm cold I can assume he is as well, if not moreso. For now, I made him a warm hidey out of this old sweater and a small cardboard box. He's chewing the sweater though. I'm lost. Will he just chew on the cozy that I buy for him? I don't know all the can chew-can't chew rules yet.

My place isn't cold, but it freezes in the mouring. My room gets the coldest during this time, so I added a towel tent to his WOODEN hidey house with towel floor. This should keep your pig slightly warmer, it did to mine. If your pig still gets cold, when you wake up in the mouring, take him out and put him under your blankets. My pig warms right up when I do this, I hope it helps you to!

I'll have to try this idea. My room is the coldest in the house. I don't want him freezing! I might have to talk to my roomie about letting him stay in the living room more often (instead of just for floor time I mean). Thanks for the tips!

yeah, I would get him a cozy, or if you can make one that would be fine. I'm worried about the sweater tho. Is it a sweatshirt or like a sweater sweater? If it's sweater material, I wouldn't let him have it. I don't know if it's safe or not, but I wouldn't take the chance. I would be afraid of my girls choking. I don't know tho.

Is the living room warmer? If it isn't, try to find the warmest room in the house, making sure it's ok to move him.

Its a sweater sweater. He stopped chewing. Maybe it's just something he does? Like, "Hey... I wonder if I can eat this?" He's a silly one.
