Well, for one of my guineapigs I find it veyr hard to clip nails. Tulia and Susie have no problem. Well let me say that different. There not afraid of the clippers there afriad of having there nail clipped so that makes it a little easier. My newest one Bella seems to be afraid of finger nail clippers. I was trimming her nails and it was such a battle. I got thinking and then showed her the clippers. I clipped(just showing her) and she started to squek a little and cuddle closer to me. I finally finished trimming but are some guineapigs just afriad of the clippers itself?

One of my pigs was afraid of clippers. She would also squeak and snuggle into my arms when she heard the noise or saw the glint of the clippers. I then decided to introduce her to the clippers before cutting her nails. I would make the clicking sound when she was in her cage (a comfortable environment) for a few days until she didn't flinch when she heard the clicking sound. Then I fed her food while I clipped her nails to destract her from the actual clippers. I usally have someone help me clip nails too because my piggies nails are black.

Pistachio hates the clicky sound it makes when you close them. Pistachio also hates sitting still. I'm lucky if I have all my fingers after doing his nails and he attacks clippers to the point he actually cut his mouth once. The rest of mine mostly dislike having their feet held in place and not being able to run away. Some bite the clippers but they also bite other things in their frustrations.
