Sick clicking sounds

Tonight I noticed my guinea pig making clicking sounds instead of his normal happy sounds. Hes eating fine and the only other thing is he sneezes every now and then. No other symptoms. He eats like a pig. I'm just really concerned I won't be able to take him to the vet for a while do to work. Please help!

Sounds like it may be the beginning of a URI, he should probably see a vet to get some antibiotics. Perhaps you could call the vets and see if you can arrange anything, like if you could drop him off at a time you aren't busy then leave him there and pick him up later.

I'd get him to the vet asap. If he's making clicking sounds, he must be congested and could have pneumonia. Guinea pigs go downhill quickly, so I wouldn't wait. Most vets have evening hours so you should be able to get him in.

I found out the bedding I was using was causing everything. I was using carefresh only to find out after some research that it has caused URIs in many animals that have used it. We changed the bedding to eco bedding and his breathing has gone back to normal, but we are monitoring him very closely.
