Clean and decorated

The girl's age is cleaned out and the decoration is finished. I posted pics under decorated cages and a new one under open cages. After all is said and done I have a feeling I will go back to all bedding. It was so much easier (to me) to scoop out the bedding with a dust pan and put it in a trash bag and be done. I will use the rugs I bought for the new cage in the bathroom for floor time. Not a waste of $$ at all just a different use.

It is amazing what can be found at our dollar stores here! There will be lights for the holidays.

Great looking cage! How old are your girls? I noticed the sides are rather high. Do you have little ones?

No I don't have little ones. I just got tired of vaccuming everyday! Actually the 3 sides are only a half inch higher than cavy cages site formula and the back is also an inch higher. They suggested a high back if it is up against the wall. I just measured the front wall and it is 6 and a half inches. What do most of you have? I think I will lower the front wall so what is a good height? Thanks for pointing this out. This is how I am learning.

Thanks for the compliment. Thank you all for the input and suggestions. The front wall is now just under 5". I couldn't go any lower due to hanging dishes etc. but I can tell the difference. They don't look so imprisoned. I can't wait to go buy some multi-colored lights. Believe it or not they Xmas stuff is already out!

My cage sides are 8" high and then I use mesh to cover the rest of the grids. You can see through the mesh like it not even there. Mesh is sold as mosquito netting or for screen doors. Just cut to size, ziptie on, and no more vacuuming. Except when Chris gets out Cinnamon who has thick fur and doesn't brush the bedding off first.
