I'm researching into building a custom cage, and thus materials needed that I can actually get hold of. After having a look around, we found this child's paddling pool, which is exactly the right depth for a Guinea Pig to see over (i.e same depth as my old cage, and that was fine for him) but incredibly large on the width side of things.. So it would definetly be big enough to act as a home for my two pigs (Hey, even three?) and it can be customized into a cage fairly easy. The only thing is, it's circular.
I've never heard of a circular cage before.. Maybe thats because they are too difficult to make, too difficult to store away in a house, or perhaps not suitable for an animal?
So, question: Would a circular shaped cage be alright for a Guinea Pig to live in? Or do they prefer to keep to the restraints of a rectangle shaped home? I guess it's not something you would normally think of
