Well right about now Cinnamon is get re-neutered. Poor guy to have to go through that a second time. Its definately for the best though. When I took him this morning I was told I drop him off between 730am - 930am. I get there at 730am and nobody is around. All of their signs said they opened at 930am. I thought Cinnamon was going to have to come to work with me for a couple hours. It would have been interesting to try and smuggle him into my office building. Once I got him to my floor he would have been fine because everyone wants to see him. Anyhoo, I saw someone, flagged them over and they were able to take Cinnamon in early. WHEW! I will pick him up around 5pm today.

*crosses fingers* I hope everything is successful! Only a few more hours to go until you can pick him up.

I'll think happy thoughts for the scruffy little guy.

Coco was very upset when I took Cinnamon this morning. I have put up a wall in their 2x4 cage until the coast is clear to put them together again. This way, they are at least next to each other. Coco was very vocal about her opinion of all of this. Cinnamon, of course, seems definately ticked off about everything as well, but at least he's not as vocal.

How is your boy now?

He is doing well. I picked him up at 430pm and took him home. He's a little dazed looking but ate some romaine when I put him in his cage. Coco went ballistic when I brought him in the room. She calmed down once she saw that I put him next to her again.

That's good that he's doing well. I hope he has a safe and quick recovery!

Thank you all. I appreciate the good thoughts and I am sure Cinnamon does as well :)

Good to hear he is eating. Did you get antibiotics and pain medication for him? I like to give metacam for a few days after surgery . . .

no. They did not give me anything. I had it done at the humane society where I had adopted him from. It that something I can only get from a vet?

I'm pretty sure you can only get Metacam (Meloxicam) from a vet. I get it for my 2 dogs as it eases their arthritis pain, and it's only available on prescription.

I'm glad Cinnamon has come thorugh surgery OK; it can be such a worry when you have to put your pigs life in someone else's hands.
