cilantro?

I bought some cilantro for my rabbits today. It has what looks to be roots and dirt on the bottom. Am I supposed to cut the roots off? Or am I supposed to leave them on? I was guessing you should cut them off but was not sure.

I would cut them off and only give them the tops.
