Chinchillas and pigs?

I was wondering if the guinea piggys get along with chinchillas. My mom had one as a class pet and she said it was really nice but other people have said they can get nasty. I just came up with this idea right now. I don't really think it would be a great match but I wanted to see what other people thought.

i dont know. ive never owned either. but from what ive heard, guinea pigs are best off with guinea pigs and no other animal. if you want to get ruthie a buddy, definately get her a piggy.

why on earth would you want to do that? you anyways dont have a chinchilla. if you want another pet, get ruthie a guinea friend!

Well I used to own a Chinchilla named Pepper and he was very mean and tempermental. I could never hold him or anything. He would freak out if anyone new came over. And didn't like other Cinchillas. He know lives with my friend who he always seemed to like better anyways. Chinchillas jump very high and need a tall cage. So housing them with a guinea pig would not work. I would never EVER suggest it just dont mix species......

I'm not sure Loves2travel....I want her to be happy but she seems so happy now. She goes into these little cooing fits and as soon as she hears my voice when I come home from school she starts wheeeeking. But I don't know how she is when I'm at school. My mom sometimes lets her run around while I'm gone. I think I'm going to try and get my mom to take me to the rescue soon although last time I was there wasn't any guinea pigs.
