I need help with the rescues Adoption Checklist
this is what I have so far

Food
Cage (C&C cage)
Veggies and Fruits (week supply)
Hay (Timothy)
Hidey House
Bedding (Not pine, cedar, or corn cob)
Toys
Play Pen or Play Area

I am brain dead right now anything else I should add?

lol, yea..........

um, water bottle?
nail clippers
styptic powder
for long haired piggies: scissors, and brush
pellet food

oh hehehe lol forgot
this is a list for the adopters to check and see if they have forgotten anything

***Just a general list please for what they need. Not extra stuff. They can buy the extra stuff on their own time. But this list is what I want them to have before they take the pigg home***

lol...what about food bowls? Hay rack?? I don't use mine that much anymore, I mainly just throw a ton in and let them eat it. Do you have cozies?? Pigs really do love those. I can't think of anything else, if I do I'll post it.

I think food is what she meant for pellets loves! lol

Ok I added those things except cozies and syptic powder. Because cozies is qualified as a toy. And I am going to teach them how to clip nails before they go home. And most vets will do it for free if its a small animal.

you should print out some stuff off of GL and send it home with them to read over. And maybe have one with the application with info about if a pig is right for you...just a thought...

yes, a "are piggies right for you" quiz would be nice. tell them it is for personal info and you wont collect it or look at it. just for them to gage themselves and whether they are a good piggy household. if you tell them you wont collect it, usually they will be more honest on the quiz. i can help you make a quiz if you want.....

ok does any one have any piggy quizes from like online or something?

I know petco.com has care sheets with questions you ask yourself before you buy one. That might give you a basic idea.

Ok I will go and get one from petco or petco.com and and one similar to my website.

ok for the quiz I have
I have the appropriate location (inside) and space (CC cage) for two guinea pigs
I am willing to have two guinea pigs not just one because they are social animals
I will provide daily supervised (if possible) time outside of the cage (this is known as floortime)
I will provide daily care like water, food, and if possible every day attention.
I comit to keeping my guinea pig until it dies (life span 5-8 years.)
I have enough time and money to care for this pet
I understand that a guinea pig relies on me and me only for care

revised check list

Ya I know I even use it. I don't know why I put it there. lol

Oh and right now I am writing an email to you with the quiz and stuff

Oh and by the way everyone Tina is making my website. I just sort write the content email it to her and then she adds it to the site.

That's very nice of you Tina! And Cinn, I think this was a great idea that you're doing this...And the check list is just an extra precaution to get people to understand what a commitment it is to own a pig...or any pet for that matter! It makes people think and ask themselves. But one thing I would like to comment on if you don;t mind...I wouldn't say 'if possible' because that leaves them a way to not do it. This way if they understand that they need to do it, they will make time. Anyway, great job!

Ya your right maybe I shouldn't have put "if possible". I will change it.
Yep it is very nice of Tina to make the site! Thanks again Tina!

Oh I made the checklist because I want all adopters to have those items at home before they bring their pigg(s) home.
