Just discovered www.rabbitstop.com, where they do charge for shipping but the prices on hay are unparalleled! I did the "price match guarantee" at the ferretstore and I ended up saving almost $35 over ferretstore prices - and that's including the shipping!!

I dont care for packaged hay. I get my hay from Kleenmama. I can get a large amount. 9 pounds or more for 9.00. The shipping is high but the hay lasts a long long time so I dont mind and the hay is nice and fresh.

Hello I am from Utah (obviously) We operate a large farm and are trying to market our hay to small pet owners. We are still putting things together (coming soon Utahhay.com) But we are selling our alfalfa hay for .95 cents a pound. You specify how you want it shipped, in a bag or in a box (not packaged) and I will ship it out to you asap. We guarantee the freshness. For now if you are interested, just send me an email [email protected] with the amount of hay you want and I will email you a paypal invoice. When payment is received I will ship it. We currently only have Alfalfa hay but will soon have timothy and also a alfalfa/timothy mix.

Our goal is to provide a competative priced product directly to the consumer.

Thanks

Ryan

Oxbow is just as good as Kleenmamas. For Kleenmamas hay, it was almost $60 for me. Oxbow is cheaper, but I think both are outragous.

my pigs prefer oxbow orchardgrass over kms bluegrass. Sometimes oxbow is a bit dustier but it was lots softer than kms hay. Oxbow is also cheaper for me if I order in bulk from their site. The small bags from other sites like rabbitstop and the ferretstore don't last long enough to be worth it.

I buy my hay from a local stable. It's $20 for a bale but there is no shipping charge and it lasts a year.

I like Oxbow's Orchard Grass. It's soft enough that I don't worry as much about eye injuries.

Last summer one of my girls poked her eye with Timothy hay, and ended up needing to have her eye removed.

You can order in bulk from Kleenmama too. Email her for more info.

I actually prefer the 40 oz. bags over the big 5 or 10 pounders; they're much easier to pick up and distribute from. I like the Oxbow Orchard Grass because it's really soft; it reminds me of spaghetti! If I buy too much hay at once it starts to smell like a farm in the apartment!

I love the way the hay makes my utility room smell. All nice and outdoorsy smelling.

It's great...until my allergic friends and parents come over! :)

I get my Timothy hay straight from a farmer... I pay $3 dollars for an entire 50 lb. bale.

WOW - I wish I could do that. Maybe someday when I have a house and a tool shed...(sigh)

Wow that is cheap all4cavies!
