It's good that there are people in your life that can take care of them if need be! I can imagine it would be hard to part with some!

Oh yes, its going to be hard for me, but I know sometimes its in the Piggies best to find a good home for them, and I think my husband would have a cow if I immediatly dismissed that! LOL

I know!! LOL I am trying to be patient. I really am. I just really miss holding her and playing with her, and lately I just sit by her cage and stare at her...she probably is starting to think I am crazy. Last night I sat by her cage cutting strips for her fleece forrest and took as long as possible. Rearranging and every time she'd go to the bathroom I would jump up and grab the dust pan. Just looking for any reason to sit there I guess. but I'm so used to having to take her out and play, that I miss it.

Re: Well, I felt little nudges for the first time.

My piggy Lilly when we adopted her was pregnant but didnt tell us. ive noticed that she only had 2 babies she wasnt big on the sides but her belly dragged on the ground. I felt kicking about 2 weeks before she gave birth. I took her to the vet to get her an ultrasound to make sure everything was going okay. Cost me 200 dollars but I needed to know she was doing well and if she was really pregnant. The vet told me it would be about 2 weeks before she gave birth and the vet was correct exactly 2 weeks later she gave birth to 2 babies. I re homed the boy to my best friend eliza who introduced him into her herd. I kept the girl

[MENTION=21803]xXMaggieXx[/MENTION] wow, that was pretty spot on of the vet! Charlie is so pregnant, and she is very close. Her pelvic bones are now almost two finger widths apart, but we thought she was in labor a few days ago, so now we are just plain anxious. If she doesn't have them by tomorrow night I will consider calling the vet, even tho I know he will tell me to just be patient! I would be taking her in if her pelvis wasn't seperating so steadily. It seems to be progressing at a slow but steady pace, so I just need to keep an eye on her and wait! I just hope she doesn't wait until I'm in another city on Tuesday at the airport!

She should be going into labor any time soon if her pelvis is already 2 finger widths apart. as soon as my abby. reached 2 finger lengths she gave birth in 4 hours. She will probally have her babies in 1-2 days now

No, they are still in there...and she is as normal as ever, eating like a piggie and drinking, frolicking as much as her belly will let her. Waiting and waiting...I hope by the end of the day they come!

For some reason, the waiting for the babies to come has reminded me of an old song my grandma used to sing:

"Well, I had a little chicken that wouldn't lay an egg
So I poured hot water up and down it's leg.
Oh the little chicken cried
And the little chicken begged
And the little chicken layed a hard boiled egg!"

I want to see some pig babies!

Hahaha thanks for that! Made me chuckle. I know, I've been sweeping, giving her small treats, petting her, staring at her, go and do something and checking on her, poor thing. LOL

Tell me about it! haha I just don't want to miss the birth, all this watching and waiting and she will probably have them while I'm alseep or something, I just am praying they all come out head first, and everyone is healthy!

What I noticed is they tend to go into labor at night. Like with my piggy it was 12:00 at night and I went to bed for an hour, then my dog woke me up to go potty. And I see baby piggies!

I know! That is the most frustrating thing! We want so badly to witness new life come into the world, but most times are not able to.

I know! I wanted to see my piggies birth just to make sure everything went okay. When I woke up I was so relieved to know the babies were okay and so was the mom
