Hi everyone,

My oldest pig Charlie has been experiencing some issues with his incisors lately. He's about 5.5 years old. A few months ago I noticed that one of his bottom incisors was broken, making it slightly shorter than its partner. At the same time, one of his top incisors was completely missing and there was a lump in its place, almost the size of a pea. He's not a cage chewer or really a chewer of anything inappropriate, so I had thought maybe because he likes to tip his ceramic dish on its side, maybe when it tipped back down it hit him in the jaw, creating these issues.

The vet did xrays and a biopsy of the lump, and was able to remove it very easily. They said it was elodontoma and there was a tiny bit of incisor in the xray, so we expected that tooth to grow back in and need to be removed completely (common with elodontoma in rodents). It has been a couple months and nothing has grown in on that side.

Now, just this morning, I noticed that the bottom incisor that was slightly broken is now completely gone, leaving him with only left incisors on bottom and top. It was a struggle to get a good look, so at this point I'm not certain if it broke very close to the gums, or the incisor is completely gone.

Should we make a trip to the vet or wait and see if there is any growth on the bottom? He's eating well and is active, and has maintained his post-lump removal weight. Also, we're sure to give both of our boys peppers every day, but could this still be due to a vitamin C deficiency?

Thank you for any advice you can give!
